| Description | This peptide is Histone H3 (21-44). It is acetylated at lysine 36 with a C-terminal G linker followed by a biotinylated lysine. The acetylation of histone H3 at lysine (K) 36 is highly conserved in mammals and is mainly localized to the promoters of RNA polymerase II-transcribed genes. The transition between the acetylation and methylation of K36 acts as an €œacetyl/methyl switch €, controlling chromatin function along transcription units. Provided at >95% peptide purity, this peptide was dissolved in distilled water at 1 mg/ml and re-lyophilized to powder form. |
